Hunger doesn’t take a break after the holiday season, and neither do we. At Lazy River Products, we are committed to making a difference year-round. This March, we are once again partnering with the Merrimack Valley Food Bank (MVFB) to help fight food insecurity in our community. Through food collection efforts and monetary donations, we aim to provide essential resources to individuals and families in need.
The Mission of the Merrimack Valley Food Bank
Since its founding in 1991, the MVFB has been a lifeline for thousands of families struggling to put food on the table. By providing non-perishable goods, fresh produce, and hygiene products, the food bank ensures that every household they serve has access to basic necessities. With over 70,000 individuals served each month across 32 cities and towns in Massachusetts, their work is more vital than ever.
MVFB’s programs address the needs of the most vulnerable in our community:
Nutritious Meals for Children – Programs that ensure children have the fuel they need to thrive.
Mobile Pantries for Seniors – Delivering food directly to seniors facing mobility challenges.
Fresh Produce Initiatives – Increasing access to fresh, healthy foods for families.
How Lazy River Products is Supporting the MVFB in March 2025
This March, Lazy River Products will be collecting non-perishable food donations at our retail locations. We are also committing to matching customer monetary donations to maximize the impact of every contribution.
Our Goals for March 2025:
✅ Collect a substantial amount of food donations to help stock the MVFB pantry. ✅ Raise financial donations to support food distribution efforts. ✅ Encourage community involvement by offering incentives for donations.
How You Can Participate:
Drop Off Food Donations – Bring canned goods, rice, pasta, and other non-perishable items to our designated collection bins in-store.
Donate Financially – Every dollar goes a long way. Lazy River Products will match all customer donations made in March, doubling the impact.
Spread the Word – Encourage friends and family to contribute to the cause.
Why Supporting Food Banks Matters Year-Round
Food insecurity is a growing issue in Massachusetts, affecting thousands of families, seniors, and children. Organizations like the MVFB provide more than just meals—they offer hope and stability to those in need.
“Each donation, whether it’s food, funds, or time, has a ripple effect that touches countless lives,” shared an MVFB spokesperson. “We are grateful to our partners and donors who make it possible to meet the growing demand for our services.”
A Look Back: Lazy River’s Impact in 2024
In November 2024, our Lazy River Products community came together in a big way, donating:
1,000 pounds of food, including staple items like canned vegetables, soups, pasta, and rice.
Over 40 frozen turkeys, generously donated by Lazy River Products employees.
$3,000 in monetary contributions, matched dollar-for-dollar by Lazy River Products.
This year, we are excited to build on that momentum and continue making a difference.
